Bone and soft tissue tumors

The main clinical manifestation of giant cell tumors of bone is that for those with a large lesion area, the pain is sour or dull, occasionally severe and nocturnal, which is the main reason for patients to seek medical attention. Some patients have local swelling, which may be related to bone swelling. When the lesion penetrates the bone cortex and invades soft tissue, local masses are obvious. Patients often experience tenderness and increased skin temperature, which is one of the criteria for judging postoperative recurrence. During the active phase, the tumor has abundant blood supply, and angiography shows a diffuse vascular network entering the tumor, similar to the image of a malignant tumor. Limited joint activity adjacent to the lesion. Tumors in the trunk bone can produce corresponding symptoms, such as presacral masses that can compress the sacral plexus, causing severe pain, and compressing the rectum causing difficulty in defecation.
