Director of Radiotherapy Department 2, Li Lei: Doctors need to serve patients day after day, completing qualitative changes from quantitative changes
Bravely undertake the mission of health and create new achievements for the continent.
On August 18th, the 6th "Chinese Physicians' Day" and the physician recognition activity of Yizhou Cancer Hospital were grandly held in the outpatient hall of our hospital.
This is also a celebratory event successfully held by Yizhou Cancer Hospital after three years of COVID-19 pandemic and just after experiencing the test of floods and disasters. It serves as a connecting link between the past and the future, recognizing outstanding medical technicians who have performed well in the past period and providing a forward-looking outlook for Yizhou's future.
At the Doctor's Day event, Director Li Lei from the Chest Cancer Radiotherapy Department (Radiotherapy Department II) was awarded the title of "Excellent Department Leader". Director Li Lei took the stage to receive the award and delivered a speech.
The following is the full text of Director Li Lei's speech.
Dear hospital leaders and colleagues, good afternoon everyone:
According to the arrangement of the hospital, I will speak on behalf of the physician next. I am deeply honored to take this opportunity to say to all colleagues: Happy Physician's Day!
I think the main reason for me to speak is because I am an older doctor who has grown up with the hospital. Let me briefly talk about my work experience and feelings at this hospital:
I arrived at the hospital at the end of June 2018 and it has been 5 years since then. However, I have gone through 6 Doctor's Days at our hospital, which can be said to have grown up with the development of the hospital. When I first arrived, the hospital had only one oncology department and only conducted photon radiation therapy. With the development of hospitals, there have been proton therapy, radiotherapy departments 2, 3, 5, and 6, as well as internal, external, gynecological, pediatric, and comprehensive departments. The medical technology department is also constantly developing and growing. The number of hospitalized patients has increased from the initial 20-30 to over 300. I have also changed from a bed doctor and attending physician to the current department head, which is inseparable from the support of hospital leaders and seniors, and the help of brothers and sisters in the department. Thank you all together!
In fact, what I want to express is: as a doctor, as long as we serve patients down-to-earth, improve medical standards and literacy, and put ourselves in the same position as the hospital, we will continue to progress with the development of the hospital. A doctor's professional career will not have many outstanding achievements, some are patients who cannot be managed completely. They will conduct daily rounds, issue medical orders, explain and explain their condition, and deal with constantly emerging medical problems. But it is this daily diagnosis and treatment process that has given me the confidence and confidence to change from quantitative to qualitative. My vision has broadened, my abilities have improved, and I have also recognized my superiors and peers who are better than myself. I am also willing to become a member of the outstanding. At the same time, we hope that Houlang can become an excellent physician for patients who are worthy of "health and trust in their lives".
Once again, I would like to thank the leaders of the hospital for their support, which gave me the opportunity to develop with the hospital. I would also like to thank all the seniors and peers for their support, which made me progress gradually. Finally, I would like to thank my brothers and sisters in the department for their concerted efforts to make the department develop steadily.
Finally, may the hospital flourish and move forward quickly!
