During the current disaster situation in Zhuozhou, Yizhou Cancer Hospital is carrying out disaster relief efforts
In recent days, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province has been continuously experiencing heavy rainfall, combined with various factors such as upstream river flooding, which has exacerbated the risk of waterlogging and made the flood control situation very severe. A Level I emergency response for flood control has been initiated.
The area where Yizhou Cancer Hospital is located is greatly affected by the confluence of the North Juma River, Xiaoqing River, and Baigou River, resulting in significant flood discharge pressure. In severe cases, the hospital is separated by a wall, with trenches and trenches, forming a vast expanse of land.
Due to forward-looking design and terrain issues, Yizhou Cancer Hospital stands tall in a vast ocean and has not been fundamentally affected. Although the flood has reached the vicinity of the warning line multiple times, our hospital has been fully vigilant, and the flood has not been able to approach our hospital any further.

In the event of the interruption of the gas pipeline due to the impact of the flood, our hospital's cafeteria (Lianhe Food) specially transported healthy ingredients out and borrowed them from other places for food processing. With the assistance of multiple departments such as the Foreign Cooperation Department and the Nursing Department, we ensured continuous food supply and nutritious meals.
For distant family members and people from all walks of life who follow our hospital, please rest assured!
Giving back to society and accommodating surrounding disaster victims
The floods are merciless, and there is love in the world. In response to the disaster, while actively fighting the flood, our hospital has also fulfilled its corporate social responsibility, mobilized human and material resources, and made every effort to help the affected people in the flood area, in order to alleviate social pressure and alleviate the plight of the disaster victims.
On the evening of July 31st, a group of surrounding residents spontaneously gathered in the outpatient hall of our hospital, planning to take shelter from the rain here. Han Jian, the director of Yizhou Cancer Hospital, who is commanding disaster prevention and control on site, immediately decided to open up the standby ward, open up the people who come to the hospital for help, and provide necessary living conditions such as rooms, beds, direct drinking water, hot water bathing, and sanitation facilities. As a result, our hospital became one of the first resettlement sites in Zhuozhou City.
During the disaster, the personnel who were gradually resettled to our hospital, including disaster affected residents, tourists, migrant workers, rescue team members, police station staff, and even some Beijing citizens, were all left intact and could be fully collected.
Establishing an emergency department to serve injured victims
As a tertiary cancer hospital, our hospital, with the strong support of Zhuozhou Municipal Health Commission, set up an emergency department to treat the people injured by rainstorm and flood.
During the rainstorm and disaster, patients kept coming to our hospital and were treated in time.
Hold free clinics to serve more affected populations
In order to help more people, under the guidance of Dean Han Jian, our hospital dispatched an expert medical team led by Vice Dean Gao Bo, Assistant Dean Bai Jing, and Deputy Director of the Medical Department Zhang Jialong to Zhuozhou Third Middle School, the largest resettlement site for disaster victims in Zhuozhou City, actively organizing free clinic activities.
Under the scorching weather conditions, patients who rushed to receive free clinic services, from children with colds and fever to elderly people with limited mobility, from rescue team members with sunburn to volunteers with hoarse voices, from diarrhea patients to fracture patients, and patients with various symptoms including abrasions, sunburn, diarrhea, hypertension, etc., all received timely treatment under the diagnosis and treatment of our hospital's experts.
In addition, our hospital actively organizes various materials to provide food and drinking water for hospitalized patients and disaster victims who have been resettled. At the same time, we provide direct drinking water to the people around the hospital, making every possible contribution to flood control and disaster relief. Among them, many touching stories have also occurred, and this issue will continue to make some reports. Due to the impact of floods, local communication facilities have been damaged, and there are still problems with network signals.
