Liver cancer symptom
Primary liver cancer usually does not cause symptoms in the early stages. When it does have symptoms, they vary from person to person. As the tumor grows, it may lead to:
Unexpected weight loss
Pain around the right or right scapula in the upper abdomen
Loss of appetite
Abdominal swelling or bloating
The feeling of fullness after snacks
There is a hard lump below the right rib
Fatigue or weakness
Nausea or vomiting
Jaundice: Yellowing of skin and eye white. Jaundice is caused by high levels of bilirubin, a yellow pigment that is the result of red blood cell breakdown. Usually processed by the liver and excreted through the bile duct. Excessive bilirubin may be a sign of liver or bile duct dysfunction.
Itching: When excessive bilirubin reaches the skin, it can cause skin itching.
Pale feces
Dark urine
Abdominal venous swelling
If you have hepatitis or cirrhosis, the condition will worsen
Hormones produced by certain types of liver cancer may lead to:
Excessive blood calcium levels may lead to constipation, nausea, or confusion
Low blood sugar levels may cause fatigue or dizziness
Male breast enlargement or testicular atrophy
High red blood cell count may cause facial redness
These symptoms do not always mean that you have liver cancer. However, it is important to discuss any symptoms with your doctor as they may indicate other health issues.
