Asymmetry: Is one side of the mole different from the other?

Edge Irregularity: Are the edges uneven or irregular?

Color change: Has the mole turned black? Does it partially change colors or include several colors?

Diameter: Is the mole larger than the diameter of a pencil eraser?

Evolution: Does the width or height of moles increase?

Feeling: Has the sensation around the mole or spot changed?

Immediately show any suspicious skin areas, non healing sores, or new or altered moles or freckles to the doctor.
