Anal cancer usually has no symptoms. When it does have symptoms, they vary from person to person. If you have anal cancer symptoms, they may include:

Bleeding from anus or rectum

Pain or pressure around the anus

Changes in bowel habits

Bowel movements are narrower than usual

A lump near the anus

Swollen lymph nodes in the anal or inguinal region

Anal discharge

These symptoms don't always mean you have anal cancer. However, it is important to discuss any symptoms that last longer than two weeks with your doctor, as they may indicate other health problems.
